What our Classroom IncludesAge Range - 3 to 4 years What our Program OffersA Daily Schedule that is structured, academically focused and fun! Weekly lessons and activities focus on a curriculum rich in reading, writing, math, science, art, music, sensory, dramatic play and imaginative play. American Sign Language will promote language development in your son/daughter. Teachers will show your preschooler how to sign the alphabet, numbers, and basic vocabulary while saying the word out loud. Language Development is encouraged daily through books, puppets, finger plays and songs. Teachers will help your son/daughter speak in full sentences using words more correctly in context. Star of the Week - Your preschooler will become the classroom's star of the week encouraging positive self-esteem. He/she will bring in items from home to share and introduce to the classroom. This is a great way to give your son/daughter lots of positive praise. Toys and Activities that are developmentally appropriate for your child & encourage building, painting, cutting, gluing, coloring, laughing, problem solving, singing, dancing, exploring...LEARNING! Monthly Field Trips- Relate to classroom lessons, bringing a firsthand experience to your child. Bus services are arranged through a qualified company. Parents are responsible for signing a field trip permission slip which explains destination, reason for field trip, cost and time for each field trip taken. Social Development - Your preschooler is learning to treat others as friends. He/she is encouraged by teachers to take turns, share, show respect, use good manners, be independent in toileting skills, dress him/herself (including shoes and coat) and use words to resolve conflicts. Emotional Development - Teachers coach self-help skills that will help build your child's self-esteem. Small Motor Development - Your preschooler will spend time learning through building blocks, sorting beads, stringing beads, cutting, painting, using different media for art, play dough, pegboards and sensory tables. Large Motor Development - Your preschooler will enjoy recess twice daily outside on our playground or inside in our gym. Activities will include running, jumping, climbing, hopping, ball play, dancing, tumbling, riding bikes, kicking balls, etc. |
