2013 Theme: It's a Mad Science Summer!
 This summer, school-age students will have a blast as we EXPLORE A MAD SCIENCE SUMMER! High quality summer programs keep students engaged in learning, teach them new skills, and encourage them to develop previously unseen talents. Discover a summer program that is set apart from all the rest! We offer full day summer programs that are fun for children and offer flexible scheduling for parents. Register for one week or the whole summer. Your child will have a blast enjoying time with friends, participating in weekly field trips, and experiencing specifically designed lessons to prevent learning loss throughout the summer months. Lessons include arts and crafts, group games, sports, weekly field trips, weekly water play days, and much more. Soccer and swimming lessons are also available. *Kindergarten through 3rd grade at the Little Canada location.

June 10 - June 14: What Does it Matter?
A study of matter and its different forms.
Field trip to Culver's for a tour, lunch and custard.
June 17 - June 21: Kitchen Chemistry
Experiments with everyday food.
Field trip to Mill City Museum with a picnic lunch.
June 24 - June 28: Gizmo's and Gadgets
Simple machines.
Field trip to the Children's Museum.
July 1 - July 5: Ever-Evolving Earth
A study of our favorite planet, its atmosphere, layers, glaciers, volcanoes, environmental change and going green.
In-house event: Ice cream truck visit.
July 8 - July 12: We'll Whether the Weather
Rain, snow, sleet or hail... nothing will keep us from this learning experience!
Field trip to the MN Science Museum with a picnic lunch.
July 15 - July 19: Rock and Roll
A study of rocks, minerals, sand and soil.
Field trip to Crystal Caves with a picnic lunch
July 22 - July 26: Wanted: Dead or Alive
A comparison of living verses nonliving things.
Field trip to see the MN Lynx Basketball game (an afternoon field trip) with a picnic lunch at Target Center
July 29 - August 2: A Water Journey
We'll learn about the journey water takes as it circulates from land to sky and back again.
Field trip to MOA Sea Life Aquarium
August 5 - August 9: What's Beyond Our Planet? A study from Mercury to Neptune and the stars beyond! Tennative field trip to Como School Planetarium
August 12 - August 16: From Seed to Shining SeedA study of plant cycles and environments. Field Trip to the Ramsey Watershed District
August 19- August 23: Ages and Stages Looking at life cycles of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, marsupials, fish, and birds. Field trip to the Minnesota Zoo
August 26 - August 30: A Mad Science Mish-Mash Weird science as we conduct experiments... really cool, fun, amazing experiments!! In-house event: The Jumpity Jump will visit.
2013 Toddler/Preschool Summer Program Theme: Exploring Minnesota
(Toddler, Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten)
 Toddler, Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten children will enjoy 12 weeks of Minnesota-themed fun. Each week features a different sub-theme, nature walk, water play day, field trip or in-house event. Water parks, zoos, museums and parks are just a few of the field trip adventures to be expected this summer.
