What our Classroom Includes

toddler coloringAge Range - Toddlers aged 16 months through 33 months.

Small Student/Teacher Ratio - 7:1

Experienced Teachers who have been employed with Children's Discovery for more than 10 years! They offer a safe and supportive classroom for your child.

Diaper Changing Area that is sanitized after every diaper change. Your toddler will have his/her hands washed after every diaper change.

Potty Training will begin when your child shows interest in toileting training at home or at Children's Discovery. Your toddler will also wash his/her hands, with teacher supervision, every time he/she uses the toilet.

 

What our Program Offers

American Sign Language will promote language development in your son/daughter. Teachers will sign to your toddler while saying the word out loud.

toddler paintingLanguage Development is encouraged through books, puppets, finger plays and songs. Your child's teachers will help your son/daughter find the correct words when identifying items or trying to communicate thoughts and feelings.

A Daily Schedule that is structured, academically focused and fun! Weekly lessons and activities focus on a curriculum rich in reading, math, science, art, music, sensory, dramatic play and imaginative play.

Enrichment Programs - music and gymnastics lessons are offered to toddlers.

Star of the Week - Your toddler will become the classroom's star of the week encouraging positive self-esteem. He/she will bring in items from home to share and introduce to the classroom. This is a great way to give your son/daughter lots of positive praise.

Toys and Activities that are developmentally appropriate for your child & encourage building, painting, coloring, laughing, problem solving, singing, dancing, exploring...LEARNING!

Social Development - Your toddler is becoming a very social being. He/she is recognizing classmates, playing with other children and building friendships. Your son/daughter is beginning to learn the need for manners such as sitting at the table, using a spoon and keeping food on his/her plate.

Emotional Development - Becoming more independent and wanting to do everything on his/her own is expected behavior from your toddler. Teachers introduce self-help skills that will help build your child's self-esteem. Positive relationships with teachers develop a sense of trust in the world.

Small Motor Development - Your toddler will spend time learning through building blocks, sorting beads, coloring with crayons, painting, play dough and simple art projects. Pouring and sifting through sand and water using toys also strengthen small motor development. He/she will continue to eat with a spoon and drink from an open cup.

Large Motor Development - Your toddler will enjoy recess twice daily outside on our playground or inside in our gym. Activities will include riding toys, climbing, sliding, throwing balls, kicking balls, climbing steps, etc.

 

During your first month with us, if you become unsatisfied for any reason, we'll refund your tuition - No Questions Asked.
